Cardiovascular System | My Journey In Science 4

Today is September 14,2020 and it's Monday. And today, we are going to have our real class,our lectures,our lessons, and our activities. On our meeting today, we talked about Cardiovascular System. But before we start our class, Ellaine leaded the prayer and then our teacher proceeded in his presentation. 




He started his presentation with a Bible Verse from Genesis and talked about how the Earth was created. But before we started on our discussion, Sir Rommel asks us to volunteer on who's gonna represent the girls side and the boys side. At first, we are all scared and nervous because we don't know what are we going to do. Since no one wants to volunteer, Sir Rommel called Ellaine and me to have a debate between Brain and Heart. Ellaine and I don't know what to do haha. 



Ellaine got to defend the Brain and I got the Heart to defend. On the Brain side, a lot of them told that " If we don't have brain, we are not able to control are emotions, our feelings, and our body" but of course who wants to let their side lose?  the Heart Side told that "if we don't have a Heart, then we are not able to live. If we don't have a heart then we will not have feelings."  It was a great debate with Ellaine especially it's online so it was more intense and innovative. But we all had fun.


Going back on our teacher's discussion, we tackled about cardiovascular system, how the heart works, The heart and its chambers, and the Blood vessels and valves found in the heart. 

After our discussion, we we're assigned to do an activity which is to draw a heart of a pig, chicken, and frog then cite at least 3 similarities and 2 differences. Next is to concept a map on how the blood flows, and also draw a human heart with labels and functions of each part. And then asked us why do we think the valves are important in the vein.I am planning to finish it until Wednesday. So that I don't have much school works to do. 

And that's it for today, it's nice to have our school discussions again. It's been a several months since we had our discussions.

Today, we just recapped about the lesson we tackled last meeting which is about the Atomic Bond, Octet Rule, and the Valence Electrons. Our teacher assigned us to identify the electron configuration of the other elements using the noble gases and the Pauli's Exclusion Principle.                       Above is one of the example our teacher assigned us to do. We first used the Noble Gas notation then after that we used the Electron Configuration which is the longest one to write.  We use noble gases to add shortcut on the Electron Configuration. W e will just follow the next aufbau principle with the last aufbau principle with the noble gas provided. For the Electron Configuration, we are just going to follow the aufbau principle until it reaches the exact amount of the atomic number of the element we need.
